80mm 43 cfm Sunon

27C ambient, 46C under load, 4 - 5 C cooler than the aluminum WBK.

Nice aren't they? I have a Delta blowing a hurricane at mine.........dunno if you care but that fan you got there is a bit BIG in the diameter stakes......I mean it blows a lot of air, but a large area of the heatsink is covered by the centre of the fan which houses the motor. If it was a few inches further away from the heatsink, and had shrouding to keep the air inside the heatsink fins it would be MUCH better.

The problem is that the centre of the fan doesn't blow cos it hasn't got fins! Only the outer two thirds creates the air volume. When you hold a fan in front of your face you can feel the air from the entire fan area beacuase it is a distance from you, and it blends together after a few inches from the fan......but when it is RIGHT ON TOP the air near the centre is quite still, in comparison. SO a fan that has a smaller centre section is better. The GOOD news on yours is that it washing the hot air away from the perimters of the heatsink, as it overlaps by so much.
If you could raise it up a bit from the heatsink and use a shroud of some kind to direct ALL the air into the fins ......well it would ROCK!

My Delta has a smaller diameter and a smaller centre area, but it is as noisy as hell!
