Slot A Overclocking

Post by NascarFool »

Ok, I have an Athlon Classic 850 with an 850 core, an Afterburner GFD and a software Cache divider. I have the cache divider set to 1/3 and the GFD at 950MHz. Not sure of the voltage at this moment. Wouldn't 1000MHz be possible with a Slot A 850 ? I tried changing the FSB but it wouldn't boot when I did. Any suggestions ?

I am stuck on an Intel but what I would try is leaving the multiplier at default and then raise the FSB to see how high you can go. Once you find the limits of the FSB then start raising the multiplier to see how much is left in the chip. Any AMD gurus feel free to step in and correct me if this approach is wrong .
