Should I go to the darkside?

I have been running a 700e between 960 and 1012 for a while and am getting bored. This leads me to consider going over to the darkside - AMD. So I guess I am looking at new mainboard - I like the EPOX board everybody is raving about but dunno what kind of cpu to get. It would seem senseless to get out of my beloved Soyo board to just go the same speed, so I wonder what duron or t-bird to get? How much dinero would I have to spend to get to 1.2 ghz?

BTW, I would use water cooled pelt setup that currently maintains my 700e at 1.78 volts at anywhere from 28 to 35 degrees fahrenheit. Dunno if T-birds or Durons respond well to super cooling. (Also think it is easier to fully insulate a slocket than a mainboard).

On the contrary...I think you are now seeing the light. With all the posts I've read it should be hard to get 1.2gigs especially w/ water cooling.

Got an MSI pro2a coming and just need to decide on a cpu and then I'll decide which intel to keep. Looking forward to running an intel and amd side by side.
