P3 733 overclock?
P3 733 overclock?
is it possible to OC a P3 733 pga? its on a Abit SA6R. I can cahnge the FSB and voltage from bios.... but it would let me change the mutiplyer. I want to get it up to a gig or so. Is there a way to unlock it?

so all i can do is bump the FSB up?
and if i do that, i can change the dividers and crank it up to like 200 an the ram/pci bus will still run around stock but the CPU will go faster? or is it just a lost cause?
also, on my second monitor, im noticing everything is getting grainy and has shadows next to it. My computer locked up during my last time i tryed to post this cause i though the card might be loose so i jiggled it and my computer froze! I think its just dirty contacts... ill try and pull the card out and put it back and see if that fixes the problem.

i do not know what PGA means.....
But I know I got a p3 700 (slot) and I got it stabily up to 933 with air cooling. I bumped up the FSB and was able to adjust the voltage.
i was using an asus p3v4x mobo
with it being 733.....you should be able to overclock up to the same speeds. Of course, not all processors are equal so i cant garuntee anything
