Abit BP6 and using the Extra controller

Post by Pugsley »

I think i got this mobo form billygoat in a trade... any way.. im using 2k on it.. and when i install the crap for the extra (high point) IDE controllers it wont boot... gets %50 done then just hangs. I got the newest drivers from abit and such... it work fine when i leave them as unknown devices.. but as soon as i install them and reboot... it locks up.

Anybod know how to get it to work? whoever traded this to me might know... i can for now just use the secondary... its slow.. but it will make it work for this weekend! Thanks!
