would an athlon xp 1700 w/ a 256 samsung pc133 strip and a 256 pc133 corsair strip get more 3dmarks than an athlon xp 1500 w/ one 512 pc2100 strip?

If you're talkin' PC2100 you're talkin' DDR ram. It would be faster with that than it would with PC133 which is SDR ram. Make sure your mainboard supports DDR ram before you buy it.

tbreds are better, especially the "b" stepping which overclocks rather nicely

tbred use lower voltage and i beleive smaller die

cheaper beacue they are still producing them and some of the older mobos had issues with T-breds and the low voltage.

actually, the lowest produced now is the 2100 or 2200+ cpu.
