Audigy 2 or Fortisimo 3?

Anyone using either one of these cards and if so what do you think of it/them? What did you upgrade from?

went from audigy to audigy 2 platinum. Card is awesome, sound is much more brighter, cleaner more dynamic. Huge improvement over the audigy. CD's, games, tv, movies even mp3's, everything sounds better. DVD audio blew me away. Never heard the Fortisimo 3 so can't comment on that but you won't be dissapointed with the audigy 2.

Your right, the a2 is awesome. I upgraded from a GTXP. Wow what a difference, and no more irq problems, etc etc.

I just got the audigy 2, and they don't have drivers for windows XP. Everytime I use the software creative supplied, my computer freezes. I don't know what the hell is going on.

I recently purchased the Fortissmo III, up from my second dead 8738 cmedia card. The software that comes with it is excellent and the install went very easy. It does sound better than the cmedia, mainly gives better seperation and sounds clearer. The cmedia seems to have a deeper sound but that might be because I haven't messed with the settings much yet.

I'm pretty sure the audigy/2 cards sound better (they are far more expensive so they should) but after my past experiences with sb drivers and conflicts I didn't want anything more to do with them. Plus the fortissmo III was about 1/3 cheaper.
