Soyo has released a new bios for the Dragon Plus version 2ba3. I was pretty hesitant to flash my bios as I was having no problems at all and system was rock stable. After reading a 3 page thread at AMDMB with only one negative comment I decided to take the plunge and flash my bios. It has only been about 6hrs but so far all seems good. I have run PC Mark, 3dMark and Sisoft Sandra benchmarks not to mention a few hours of Quake, UT, and Counter Strike with out any problems. Now for the best part and the reason I posted in this forum. With the old bios I could only run a FSB of 140Mhz. I have been running at 145Mhz since the bios flash with out a problem, something this system absolutly would not do with the previous bios. Your milage may vary but if you have a Dragon Plus I would serioulsy consider fashing to the new bios. OH yeah the new bios also adds support for XP2100+

Hey dad, I am running an XP1700 on a D+ and I can't get past 133MHz FSB. I did unlock the 1700 and it is stable at 12x133 @ 1.825v. I have 2x256meg Crucial PC2100 and I have tried with one installed and both installed. I can bump it to 138 and it will get to Windows but eventually it will lock up. I get the same results with all three bioses. (ba1, ba2 and ba3) Can ya shoot me all your ram settings? (please)
Anything over 133 and 3dMark2001 will lock up on a black screen.
My ram settings are pretty aggtresive
