hey abusers-


which will give me the best benifits? changing the multiplier or the frontside bus?

1.2 athlon
msi k7t266 pro2 mobo
soundblaster audigy
tnt2 pro.....barf
60gig hdd
256mb crucial ddr pc2100

Both, what I suggest is over clocking the front side bus first. This will not onlyover clock the CPU but all other components on the bus like vid and sound cards and IDE devices. Thus improving total system performance. Then once you find the limit that you can increase your FSB see how high you can raise the multiplier. The multiplier will only effect the performance of the CPU

how come when i rase my fsb it changes the speed of my cpu?

Because the FSB is the base for the multiplier. EG: If you set the FSB to 133, and the Multiplyer to 10, you would get 1330. FSB to 140, you get 1400, FSB to 150, you get 1500, and soo on. A different multiplyer setting will multiply the FSB differently each time you change it. :D
