Xp 1800+
What should I be able overclock one of these up to ? Using lots of air cooling, 400w PS, Crucial DDR ram and an Asus A7A266 with the latest bios.
I dunno but I'm gonna find out pretty soon.
I'm either gonna use an Iwill XP333R or a Shuttle AK35GTR as they both give you the option of taking the vcore above 2.0v
I'm hoping for like 11.5x148 @ 1702 MHz. I could live with that.
I'm not too familiar with the Asus mobo you mention so you're on your own there.

I went from an unlocked TBird 1.33 to this XP.
Was it hard to unlock it? Hmmmm.....
Well with the right stuff and a LARGE magnifing glass its really not that hard.
But it does take time. Took me about 2 hours....have a look how small the L1 bridges are on the XP then make a decision if you want to work in an area that small.
Tools needed:
Super Glue
COnductive Pain Pen
Tooth picks
Stick Pin
Scotch Tape
LIGHT
Magnifying Glass
100% Acitone (Fingernail posh remover)
TIME
There are several sites which show how...but if you have any questions feel free to ask...Ive done 3 now
