Yeah, Shenmue will be one of the best game you ever played! I am not sure if you've seen this, but it's worth the 33MB download!
I posted this at ezboard agn a while ago...
I finally found the trailer to shenMue, definitely the game with the best graphics right now. And yes, it beat the hell out of PC graphics IMHO. But remember this is a compressed MPEG file, and it's a little dark. If you have the game and a dreamcast, you'll see how good it is. Especially when you have the SVGA converter to play on your PC monitor at 640x480!

Yes, Shenmue is a terrific game.
And as Coco said, it looks terrific on my monitor at only 640x480.
And the facial animations are by far the best Ive ever seen in a game,they really give the characters personality.
EXAMPLE: The main characters love interest(Nazomi) is absolutely beautiful by video game or any other standard.
Its just incredible how much detail is in this game!
You really come to like the main character & enjoy living his everday life anyway you choose.
The story keeps things moving along but also gives you time to "live your life" without pushing you forward.
Sega should have released the training portion of the passport disk as a pre-release demo, so those who dont have it could see what they were missing.(play the training on the passport disk 1st b4 you start your game)
From beginning to end I felt like I was playing something truely different & truely original.
Is it the best game ever made? honestly? NO
Is it a 5 star tile? EASILY

I do not need a Dreamcast, and you know that is true! I have no social life just with my PC and I still use my old Saturn too!
So don't tell me how nice Shenmui is gonna be cos I may cry!

Actually, just get a Dreamcast, you will be amazed at the graphics possiblities... So far, most of the games surpass PC graphics in details... but PC users just can't admit it coz they just spend $200 - $300 on just a video card...
But if you are getting a dreamcast, Shenmue is the game to get.

$349.00 + tax for my GeForce2 GTS when it 1st came out.
$399.00 for a Dreamcast on launchday, complete with GDROM drive, ram,power vr graphics card, soundcard & modem!
Frickin consoles can do it, why are our pc parts so expensive!

The only bad thing about Shenmue really is that you have to keep waiting for the sequels to continue and finish the story.
I believe that there are 16 chapters, I don't know if the first game was chapter 1 or a couple chapters in the story.
That is pretty much the only thing that i didn't like about the game.
