For further research, look up a company called Tencent in relation to gaming in China. I believe China requires Tencent to own stake in any company wishing to distribute in China.
China also has a network of loyalists ready to review bomb an gaming content they don't agree with. Red Candle's "Devotion" was removed from Steam thanks to China:
