Got a product key along with my new video card, for one of the three above mentioned Ubisoft games. I already have FarCry 4, and the other two don't interest me.
First come, first server. First reply gets it & I'll PM the info to you.

Thanks! Wowza on the 980 with your monitor - smoothest single card setup out there!

Yeah, while my old card was no slouch, I figured a monitor that could display 144 FPS with no tearing deserved a card that could deliver sufficient frames at full quality. Xmas gift to myself (after convincing the wife that it was a necessary purchase for my sanity) I've been saving up for. Would have actually bought one a month ago but was waiting because there were firmware and driver issues when connecting 980s to DisplayPort -only monitors like mine (it's finally been fixed with a driver released on Dec 23rd, and the latest firmware). I considered SLI, but too many issues, performance is inconsistent, and even new games are still being released that don't properly work with SLI right out of the box.
Most games are capped at 90 FPS (some, like Wolfenstein, are capped at 60) but this card can at least deliver that consistently - with no dips in FPS - and at full eye candy. Couple that with 1440p GSync, and it's a very nice experience.
I'll do a detailed mini-review when I get a chance, but so far loving the card. So far been playing COD AW multiplayer (which I play a LOT - frankly I'm addicted to the game in a way I haven't been since COD4), Wolfenstein, and finished the last two stages in Metro 2033 Last Light Redux (which runs so smooth on this card I'm tempted to replay it in a harder mode).
Also Far Cry 4 and Elite Dangerous, which are two games that actually make this card work hard for it's money. Elite Dangerous was my excuse for buying the card, although I have yet to sit down and play it much other than run through the tutorials. It's a steep learning curve and you REALLY need to sit down with it for long sessions.

I picked up a copy of elite as well, waiting on my joystick thingy. Figure it will take quite a while to learn, but playing this on an Oculus down the road seems way cool.

I opted to use a game controller, which I already had, and works pretty good.

All I had was Mr. Mouse. I decided to go for the whole enchilada and buy a dedicated unit, but stock is really short. I missed about 5 HOTAS on Ebay, and the one that was cheap Thrustmaster Hotas-X went from $50-60 new to $150, and it was very barebones and still required a keyboard. I ended up getting a Saitek X52.

I'm loving my 970.
I just didn't want to spend the cash on the 980, especially since I also needed to buy a TV & some couches & all the other holiday crap going on.
That monitor is next on my list, once our trip to Disney at the end of this month is behind us & the holiday dust settles.

Honestly a 970 is more than enough, and I was tempted not to spend the money on the 980. However I decided to get ahead of the curve for a change. This should hold me for a while.
