Wasn't planning on buying this. For some reason I didn't get immersed in Diablo II - can't remember why - but I do have fond memories of Diablo I.
So I'll give it a whirl. Downloading now.

It doesn't appeal enough to pay full retail. I'll probably pick it up on sale.

Yah, so far I have not played, but I'm kind of waiting for the bugs to get worked out.. I have a friend who already beat it on Normal mode.. But I'm sure he didn't sleep for 3 days doing it.. lol

I strongly recommend you play each character type up to level 7 to get a feel for each one. The ones you think at first you wouldn't want to play you might actually find the most fun. I'm torn between the Demon Hunter and the Witch Doctor.

I played a Demon Hunter in Beta and loved it.. My friend played a Witch Doctor and it seems pretty cool too. I will, when I have some time to myself try them all.. Maybe Sunday morning.. We'll see..
might as well

I was playing at work this afternoon - all was good - at home i've been disconnected 3x in 10 min. Hilbilly dsl for the win. I used to play WOW on this line when verizon owned it, now it's frontier. May have to play through my cell phone...
ego - normal mode, at level 7 and my health has never gone below half. when you kill stuff you get red health bubbles which heal everyone in your party. can't wait to get a templar to tank for the witch doctor...lol

went to the tech support forum b/c I was disconnecting every 5 mins
used these fixes
3) Forwarding ports 1119 and 6881-6999 on the router to your computer's current IP address. This site shows how to forward ports on a variety of routers:
http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm
4) Joining the General chat channel. Many players have reported that this helps them stay in game.
that seemed to take care of it. Lvl 10 WD with a templar and 3 zombie dogs to tank. Found a yellow weapon and an off hand charm. Only died twice so far.
edit: actually all I did was let those ports through the windows firewall.

while i was constantly getting disconnected I was able to see that the dungeons do spawn differently every time you go in...which is kinda cool. Skyrim it ain't but it's fun fighting wave after wave of 15 mobs....
