It rocks! Its very graphically intence and the sound is amazing.. It definatly feels like it was pushed out a little andI expect a patch in the next month to clean up the net code a little and balance it. Same thing that 1942 began. The US pretty much has completly superior vehicles over the NVA
Spent most of last night trying to perfect the art of picking up and transport vehicles via choppers.
Nothing like dropping a barge on a enemy tank.. LOL

Pretty good but it seems a tad rushed and unbalanced. Helicopters are cool, but DC has had em for a long time.

I liked BF1942 but eventually stopped playing it, this just seems like a mod to me so I'm not bothering...

calling this a mod is like calling ut2004 a ut mod- theres no comparisson 1level texture map to 3 level- its a whole new game

ya its definately a whole new game. i like how they've set it up. I'm just playing single player so i can get a feel for the maps before i jump into some multi action. The heli's are fun especially when you go bombing into the enemy base and level all the bastards!

Bah, I just found out napalm is next to useless. Looks slightly better than Bf, but runs a whole lot worse (and no AA/AF on 9800 series cards...wtf?). I would definitely wait for patches before buying this game.

why wait? Youll just be better by the time they patch it, btw If you play in servers that are properly setup it is possible to have a lag free game

runs great on my 800 at 1024x768... no AA though but needs that stuff for a fast paced FPS

Hey Rogue, you have Far Cry retail? How do you like it?
I've never liked the original BF1942 and I doubt I'll like the new one. Too arcadish for my taste.
I liked the Far Cry demo though.

FP, Far Cry has so far been an amazing gameplay experience. Everything about this game just seems done about right...the AI is very intelligent, and you simply cannot go around shooting wildly. Stealth plays an important factor in this game, and crouching/sniping from the bushes and grass is immensely enjoyable. And the graphics...just WOW! The water and terrain effects are unbelievable, and the 1km viewing distance is awesome. Overall, this game is the most fun/ original PC game I've played in a while. Oh, and I wasn't too impressed with the demo...just didnt seem too fun, but the full version greatly changed my mind.

I'd like to try that game but unfortunately my video card don't want to run it.
