sounds interesting but what exactly do you need to download... can't they put it all together in one big file...

When 4.0 comes out it will probably be one big file.

Compatibility with the 1.31 patch and Merciless 1942:

After you install the 1.31 patch you do not have to reinstall the MC1942 addons.... just do this procedure to get your 1942 reloaded with the Merciless 1942 addons working with patch 1.31 -

Make sure your \Battlefield1942\Mods\BF1942\init.con
looks like this:

game.setCustomGameName BF1942
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942_Crosshair/
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942_TexSet/
game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/MC1942_BloodFX/
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942/
game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/
game.customGameFlushArchive 0
game.setCustomGameVersion 1.31
game.setCustomGameUrl "http://www.battlefield1942.com"
Game.setMenuMusicFilename "music/slaughter4.bik"
Game.setLoadMusicFilename "music/vehicle4.bik"
Game.setWinMusicFilename "music/vehicle3.bik"
Game.setLoseMusicFilename "music/menu.bik"
Game.setCampaignLoseMusicFilename "music/theme2.bik"
Game.setDebriefingMusicFilename "music/briefing.bik"

Compatibility with the 1.31 patch, Merciless 1942, and Road to Rome: Patch 1.31 is here! To get Road to Rome and patch 1.31 to work with your Merciless 1942 addons just do this -

This is what your Battlefield1942>Mods>XPack1>init.con file will need to look like to run properly:

game.CustomGameName XPack1
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942_TexSet/
game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/MC1942_BloodFX/
game.addModPath Mods/MC1942_Crosshair/

game.customGameFlushArchive 0
game.setCustomGameVersion 1.31
game.setCustomGameUrl "http://www.battlefield1942.com"

Game.setMenuMusicFilename "music/slaughter4.bik"
Game.setLoadMusicFilename "music/vehicle4.bik"
Game.setWinMusicFilename "music/vehicle3.bik"

DC = Desert Combat. Its a verry good mod that will soon be going retail much like CS. most people are calling it the CS of BF1942.
