Anyone try the demo yet? http://www.zdnet.com/gamespot/filters/p ... 39,00.html

Looks to be a very cool game! I think I'll buy it :)

let me say that the demo is just the tip of the preverbial iceberg when it comes to the complete product. if you play the demo and think, "well it's nothing special", keep an open mind. the demo covers the first level and parts of a later mission, but there is definitely more to the game than run-around and shoot.
anyone else agree with me?

Yeah, I still have to play this game, but it's been getting rave reviews all around. I read that the demo wasn't a very good example of the final product and I thought the demo was OK...

the demo did not represent the final product. i thought the demo was OK myself, but the finished game is extremely entertaining.

I agree also. I played the demo, but did not really find anything in it that held my interest. But the full game kept me interested and was full of some unique gameplay.

The level where you fall out of the airplane comes to mind. I also liked the atmosphere and the facts that they did a pretty good job of making you think that the levels themselves were actual living enviroments. Meaning the henchman talked alot if you were within earshot, the notes left around that you could read. It didn't feel too much like some other games, where the enemy were put in there place for the sole purpose of becoming cannon fodder.

Deathmatch was so-so, but the single player was a blast.

Think Deus Ex meets Austin Powers and you have this game, lots of fun a sense of humour. My only winge is that some of the levels are much too hard to sneak through and much too easy to blast through. Lots of fun, if you liked Deus you will like this game.

i agree with you Darkheart, i had to consult an online guide on some levels where you had to sneak past security cameras or guards. i enjoy a challenge as much as anyone, but those security cameras tend to be ridiculous.

I'm at the beginning of the Berlin level and it suddenly became DAMN HARD!! :mad : Should've taken the Body Desolver.

The coolest part has been the voice work. Just sneaking around listening to what people say is a hoot. The whole bit about the suggestive code words ("Who writes this stuff?") had me LOL.

I do have a winge about the voice acting actually, I've no idea why they decided to make the eye charecter Scottish.

She has a pretty passable English accent (better than most in the game) but it's much more Kensington than Edinburough. The only concession to being Scottish is the complete over-use of the word "Aye" in her vocabulary (For Americans, this is like someone pretending to be American by continually peppering their langauge with the word "Yeehaw"). I think this must have been a last minute change or just poor acting but it detracts from the game a bit.

Very entertaining, well scripted, good plot and dialog (gets a little corny sometimes, but it's fun).

While the game encourages stealth in some missions, it's not required, just gets darn hard sometimes. I'll try to avoid setting off the alarms as long as possible, but once they start wailing I come out blazing like rambo.

Definately game of the year material. Haven't had this much fun since HL solo game.

Finished, one of the best games I've played all year and some of the best humour and fun bits saved until the end.

Not much replay value really but I felt it was worth what I paid.
