thats "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" by the way :-) this game is on my "to buy" list but based on the price and some initial reviews i'm not so sure..

i'm prolly sure the price being at around the $50-60 range will be the main deciding factor for not getting the game right away and waiting for Best Buy or someone to come out with some bargain prices soon.

i've also read a couple of previews over at http://www.gonegold.com/ubb/ultimatebb. ... 2&t=004466

everyone has their own opinion and preference, but it does still make you think twice.

anyone from here try it out yet??? if so, what you think????

I think I'm going to put that on my christmas list. I won't have my computer up and fully funtional 'till then anyway :) I'm definitly eager to play it though. I haven't read any reviews so I have a "virgin" opinion on it right now. I have played the MultiPlayer demo (before my pc crashed) and it was a blast.

anybody play it yet?? i'm undecided on which game to get on my lunch break. i need something to do for the "long weekend" and a new game will definitely help.

i'm undecided between RTCW or AVSP2? I've always been a "QUAKE" fan and RCTW being Q3 based i'm kinda leaning towards it. On the other hand, i haven't played a game that actually "scared the shiyet outta me" in a long time and AVSP2 seems like one that may.

any suggestions?

Well I finished AvP2, and altho I was pretty good all around, I only really liked the marine portion, and it wasn't that long of a game. I don't have RtCW yet (VERY soon), but my bet is it will be the superior game, both single-player and multi... :)

I totally agree. I went to EB this morning and got the black tin box edition. So far the game is great.

And I didn't know about the limited edition tins and still paid $55 bucks for the game. I will say that the single player is fun and allows you to either run through or sit back take it in. Levels are great and going back and hunting for tresure on completed levels is fun too.

Now the bad news....

Multiplayer comes with SEVEN maps. Yes you heard me right seven. Of those seven, THREE are really playable and big enough to use all the weapons avalible in the game. Of those three, it's to bad that ONE is dm_beach which we've all played in the multiplayer test. I've found that the quickest way to judge just how good a RTCW map is to watch how quickly one side wins. If you spawn and two minutes later one team has won you can bet the map is way to small.

While I have no doubt that there will be a ton of great custom maps out in the next two months, I better not see id do with RTCW what they did with Q3A and Team Arena and charging for an add-on.

I for one am not that fired up over this game.

I guess you just can't match the first time I ever played the first wolf, man, those were the days. I didn't know a PC could do so much. That game was one of the reasons I am such a gamer now, it and doom of course.

If you can only get RTCW or Aliens VS Predator 2 get AVP2. Wolf is ok but it has yet to make me want to play it over AVP2. It's a solid game (wolf) but nothing to write home about. I don't think it really does anythig you haven't seen many times over and feels un-inspired. Nothing like the heart pounding action you get from AVP2. I'll keep playing it and see if it grows but I almost am ready to quit it now. Not saying it's a bad game, it's just not as groundbreaking as I hoped for, too much of the same old same old.
