It's worth about $20. Reviews have been harsh, but I thought it was quite decent. TONS of scripted stuff keeps things jumping. Better than Romero's Gate!

I heard only great things about it....havemn't tried tho. Got a great review in PC Zone and they're usually OK....except for racinggames which they know squat about
Just started playin it today. So far seems rather decent. Nothin too spectacular so far, but I got it for free, so why not. Graphics are nice for the creaky half-life engine, especially the video card cut scenes.
OH it is decent. In fact it is fairly good too. Just don't expect more than a large mod really. Nothing groundbreaking or anything like that, and the gun 'morphing' type thing were you can set them to fire however you wish doesn't have the impact you might think.
I'm near the end of the game and to me it has been a blast.
This is gaming goodness full of surprises and ideas (none of that Soldier of Fortune boring sameness).
Yep, it's worthy of the Half Life school, that admirative "man, this is a damn movie", "what else will they throw my way now, ehh?? nooooooooooo!!!!!", feeling.
Elated, I've enjoyed it to the full and at times have had to pause for a respite.
Except the Maya world, a kind of simple introductory and very short level, the rest has some of the best level making I've seen, the design is excellent and crammed with imaginative detail (the ships, the enemies, and look at the big enemies, wow!!)
The weapons, just try them, and don't forget to use the key for adjusting them: just an example, the shotgun set to 4 shells, what a way to say I care.
Some of the time graphics are not so finished looking as they were in HL, but the result has a kind of rugged style I like.
Other times (mostly) the graphics are just glorius.
Valve keeps choosing the right people, and I look forward to seeing what else has Rewolf in store.
I wasn't overly impressed with it. It's a very good mod, but as a retail product I rate it 6/10. The ending is kind of lame, IMHO anyway. I could go on to explain the pros and cons but I don't feel like it right now...
It was too short of a game. I understand that they were under a lot of pressure to get the game out the door before Christmas, but still HL took a lot longer to beat. I got it one day, finished it 2 days later.
It was a great game....if it would have been a mod add-on. As a standalone game with a price tag...a so-so game. I liked some of the things they did, like the weapon mode switching.
I just want to know why the hell they figured they needed to copy the original Half-Life and add that God-awful train ride at the beginning of the game. In Half-Life it was cool, in Gunma it was aggravating and painfully long.
Wow, what different opinions here. To me the game was OK at best. Sound sucked big time. Sounded most of the time like the sounds were coming from the inside of a metal drum.
What I regretted most was spending money for this game. It should have been a free addon like They Hunger. Sierra didn't score any points with me on their decision to milk money from customers for this game.
It's claimed that some students made this game in pieces and never even met each other. I have no problem at all believing that from playing this game. Not polished at all. Very crude. For free, it would have been ok (They Hunger 1 & 2 was done better). For money, no way.
I ultimately decided to pass on this, having played the demo. Oh I'll buy it on clearance one day for $9.99 or something, but shooting dinosaurs and scorpions isn't my idea of a great FPS. That, and the guys in the demo are..well...stupid hard to drop.
Your money would probably be better spent on NOLF or No One Lives Forever, definitely a kick ass game. It is worth probably on the order of 2 to 2 1/2 times the Gunman game.

I'll go as far to say that this game is worse that even Daikatana. Mike89 is right imo, it looks crude and like it was made by kiddies. Not to mention the gameplay sux. I had more fun playing daikatana.
