Pred I must be fussier than you. Even at 800x600 on my 3200+ I can see occasional (albiet rare) burps when the action get's heavy. That ruins the game experience for me.

High at 1280/1024 9800pro with A64 3200+ and 1g 2.5case memory. Runs pretty good...probably will run even better when I turn F@H off.
there is also this proformance boost: http://www.beyond3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14874 I never do stuff liek this, but it might be worth a shot....probably will mess up future updates though or something.

LOL I guess I should, but my win98 rig does not crash. It's hard to believe, but it's true. In a month, I might have one lockup, but I haven't had any since moving over to FireFox. Also, I'm also torn between installing Win2k or XP. I like Win2k, but I also like some features of xp like the rollback, and the ability to swap out mobo's with no problems like win2k.Originally posted by EvilHorace Yep, 32 meg card here, it's probably at least 3 yrs old? Ex, why not upgrade your PC to Win2K? That should be painless IMHO and say by to those Win98 error messages.
I still can't believe that it works on your rig Evil. Maybe your dreaming?

Havin a great time so far, but thought its time to take some time and check frames to add to the thread.
In a nut shell:
Loaded fraps and took note... Then did the console also. They compare real well! Turned off fraps trusting the console thing works fine.
Specs..Abit NF-7s, barton 2600.. 9800 pro. 512 on the ram and it shows.
Game: Playing at 1024x768 on high settings .. Advanced setting all yes but no aa and no vsync (but turned on on ATI control panel as always on)
Both stick at 60 tops and hit a low of 19 in worst case so far, and I will add that IS IF your HD aint churnin like a mofo opening a new room. Thats my biggest problem so far, and is my fault for not getting a gig beforehand.
But otherwise,
I'll addmit my biggest worry was running such a dark game on on a 19" 25ms LCD.. Yep smear is there, but not amything near as bad as I thought it would be running the colors that LCD's hate..
Very happy with that worry so far..
Cant complain at all and maybe a third thu? I think?
Game on guys.. Just wanted to do my 002

It really does play OK AND doesn't look bad at 800x600 res (to me) either. I havent tryed it at higher res so far but I probably will. I havent spent time with that game in days now but hope to soon. I'm just glad that it's playable on my PC without me feeling that I have to run out and buy another video card (YET). I'm sure that it probably looks and plays better on a newer machine with the latest video cards and perhaps I'll find out this winter if I decide to then build a new PC.
I'll report back later with FPS too.......
Question: Anyone here care to explain exactly HOW I can check FPS in that game?
