Yea Greg, great lan!

Again Brianna and I had a great time! She's ready to do it again, and already tal, king about the mod we will be building her for the next one! Man has she got a plan!
I got her back to Ohio to my moms for the rest of the summer and I got home about 7am today.
What's this about maybe a second lan this year? Fire it up I'm ready to come back allready :)
I'll start loading the systems and parts tonight to be sure I bring something this time, duhh.
Computers are like condoms on a Friday night, never leave home without one :)
That was the only bummer for me, comming in from Oh. and all my stuff was here at home in Mo. so I had nothing to mod or tinker with. Thanks again for the loaner, just would have been nice to have had my own though know what I mean!

I like potato salad and such, but probably more trouble than it's worth, has to be kept cold and dry and such.

Thanks for the great food agian too, love those dogs, woof woof. I meant to ask before I left late sunday if you had an extra box or so like last year, I was gonna buy one if you did. I forgot though :(

How did the video turn out? Ya wanna sell copies? I'd send $5 bucks plus shipping for a dvd :)
I'm sure it would be too large to download at 33k :(
Or send a free one and I'll see if I can edit it into a master piece for an infomercail for nexts years lan :)

Thanks for a great weekend!

well... ive been planning or trying to plan the logistics for a 1000+ lan... and let me tell you... the building is the least of your worries... POWER is the main one... and the only BUILDING i can think of that would fit that many and have that kind of power would be a Industreal wearhouse of some sort... OR you would have to rent one of them huge ass gennerators thats built into a 40' semi trailer (the ones the carnivals use) to run everyting.

then comes network... 1000 ports? think about it!

then tables and chairs.. i dont know what greg spent on them but for 1000 people thats alot!

just think an avearge of (this is on the high side) 4-5 amps pre PC... X 1000 thats 5000 amps... most houses only have 200A service if that!!!! YEa that much!

I was joking about the 500 or more lan!

I dought I would even want to be at one that big, even Pca's!
Man, just think of trying to serve all those burgers and dogs!

And you get that many people together and I am sure there will start being problems. For the most part everyone seems well behaved for the current size. No stoners, no drunks, no fist fights, no systems or parts being stolen, no cars robbed etc....

But you get 500 and up and your bound to have several problemed people arrive and cause trouble somehow.

ANd ya, it would be a nightmare powering everything and setting up the lan!

Hey Greg,

Is this next one gonna be anounced on PCA or personal invite only? I mean if you start a monthly deal or whatever?

Labour day weekend might be good for me, since Scooby will want to come too. Although on second thought I may not want to mess with the taffic. Maybe the weekend after?

I promise! I WILL BRING A SYSTEM, I WILL BRING A SYSTEM! If I leave home for any reason going further than 200 miles I WILL BRING A SYSTEM!
