Bill Maher: The Clintons need to 'go away' for 2020 election

Post by FlyingPenguin »

Yes, please, shut the F up Hilary. Go away. It's over. Get over it.

I cringe every time I read a statement from her concerning the election. We need to hear ZERO from a person who was so morally compromised that she was literally the only person who could lose to Donald Trump. She still doesn't understand how un-liked she is.

For my part. I voted for her (while holding my nose) because I knew what a train wreck Donald Trump would be. But that doesn't mean I thought she deserved to be President.

and her claim that presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard is “the favorite of the Russians” in the Democratic primary and her implication that Gabbard is a Russian asset. Yeah right. GO AWAY.

I voted for her as well because I wasn't about to vote for the clown we have now. I still don't like her and think we would be in a full fledged war in Syria if she were elected. The economy would probably be as it is now because that's how the economy is. I think she would've been smarter about it and raised interest rates to show down the growth and not have gotten us in tariff wars.

I wish she would keep quiet and I also wish the Bernie Bros would shut up. For what it's worth, I don't think Biden or Bernie are good candidates. Biden has too much baggage (google creepy Joe pics) and Bernie to just too old (the man just had heart problems). I like Warren but I know she's a hard sell. She's going to have to explain how she's going to pay for medicare for all and education through college. Stating that most of the western world does so and the rich will pay isn't enough. The entire insurance lobby will be against her so she must get the medical community on her side. Buttigieg doesn't stand a chance because he's a homosexual. The US will not vote for a gay man because it is still very religious and backward. O'Rourke needs a filter. His, "we will take your assault rifles," comment was his undoing. That soundbite will haunt his political career which sucks because we need someone younger as president. Harris has a lot baggage to run for President but may make a good Attorney General. The other Dem candidates are not worth mentioning. The democrats best hope is a third party (unlikely since were so close to an election) that steals votes from the Republicans. Where's another Perot when we need them?

As much as I hate to say it, Trump will probably win in 2020. If he loses, the Democrat will probably only have a 4 year term as I think the economy is on the edge of another recession.

I voted for Trump because I can't stand Clinton. As for the Democratic candidates, I don't like any of them. They are too far LEFT for me. I don't mind liberals, but every single one of them are left wing socialist. Don't get me started on O'Rourke - a complete moron. Hard to believe that the Democrats can't find a middle of the road candidate. With what they have on stage, Trump will be re-elected especially if the economy is humming along with low inflation and low unemployment.

I can't see how you can consider Biden FAR left. He's a moderate, and that's why I'm rooting for him. I think he has the best chance of beating Trump AND not going nuts making crazy promises that probably can't be implemented. If you're a conservative and afraid Trump will lose, then you should REALLY hope it's Biden and not someone else in the Dem field. Yeah he has baggage, and yeah he's old (and Trump isn't?), but he's someone who knows how to govern, he would bring a staff with him that would be ready to go on day one, he'd actually LISTEN to advisers, and he's someone that congress can communicate with. I think even the senate is ready to get back to a normal functioning White House at this point. You can't pass law when the president doesn't communicate and changes his mind every other day, and contradicts you at every turn.

The only other candidate I like is Buttigieg and I agree the country is not ready for an openly gay, and same-sex married, President. Doesn't matter to me, but realistically the country is not there yet. Maybe someday. I'd like to see him try again in four or eight years, and maybe run for governor in between. He's very well spoken, intelligent, actually answers reporters questions instead of just reciting talking points like most politicians.

My problem with Warren is I don't like her in the same way I don't like Hilary. She acts like she feels she's entitled to be president. She comes off as elitist and snobby. I also feel her newly founded 'socialism' is just a calculated tactic to steal Bernie's base, not because she really believes it. She comes off as a phony to me. BTW: For perspective, I voted for Bernie in the 2016 primaries, but that's because I preferred him to Hilary, and I would have voted for Jeb Bush over Hillary in the election. Jeb was a good Governor for our state. I don't vote party, even though I'm a registered Dem. I vote for the person I think is best for the job.

As an independent and moderate I believe each party should get eight years at it: Republicans generally stimulate business and democrats help workers and counter business abuses. Both get their chances to stack the courts. Never good for one party to have power too long.

I'm beginning to think we need a parliamentary government like the UK with more than two parties, and whoever is elected forced into a coalition government. It would force everyone to the negotiating table and restore the normal give and take. We essentially already have that with each party split into subgroups already.

I'd be willing to give Republicans another four years if Trump went away. I think even Pence would be a better President. I may not agree with all of Pence's policies, but I don't think he'd be the dumpster fire we've gotten from Trump. At least the man knows how to speak in public without putting his foot in his mouth.

3 words

Creepy
Joe
Biden

The guy is a creep...plain and simple. The dem party has nothing at this point. If they would focus on putting someone up that could actually win instead of "russsssinz russsinzz.....!" and this ridiculous impeachment nonsense, they would actually win some votes back. The entire dem party is a 3 ring circus right now.

Trump is the only president I can remember since was old enough to care, that is actually following through with his campaign promises. Someone needed to smack china around a bit, and ole orange man has done it. Time will tell.
