Argh, America Noooooo!

I'm starting to worry about wether the US public can really be hoodwinked again and might actually re-elect Bush, it's happened before; when they re-elected Nixon.

I just can't see how much easier it could be for John Kerry yet he STILL keeps losing ground to him in the polls:

Iraq is currently a warzone and the only way Bush is dealing with it is pretending the problem doesn't exist.

George Bush has managed to turn a record budget surplus into a record budget deficit.

During his reign there has been a net loss of jobs for US citizens.

The amount of Americans without health insurance has increased.

The US has lost more than 1000 US soldiers in a war that Bush created.

The US economy is still in the crapper.

George Bush himself has the IQ of a house plant.

What does it take for Bush to stop gaining ground?

If he took the US Consitution, UN Charter on Human Rights and the Geneva Convention set them on fire and attack them with a chainsaw on live TV would it make it more obvious?

Please American citizens, proove us wrong, don't accept promises of tax cuts for the rich and patrotism blind you. If you can't bring yourself to vote for Kerry then just don't vote for Bush. Everyone makes mistakes, we understand, you got conned, please, please this time correct the problem. You'll find everyone in the world will like you so much more if not pursuing Bush's crazy agenda. We'd love to be able to help you on this, but we can't, you guys have to sort it out yourselves.

As the world's only superpower it makes such a huge difference to the rest of the world. America is capable of doing so much good but also so much damage too. Show us you can be the better people we know you are.

Knowing how many here will slash out against you because you're not American, I'll admit that I'm seeing all this your way on this issue and am also amazed by the polls.
I also believe that if Bush is re-elected, there will probably be more war and probably a draft too. Those like my 20 yr old son (who's not in college) would then likely to be drafted in todays "vietnam" (yep, very similar losing situation for the US IMHO).
My income is on the decline (fewer people here are spending money) and don't even get my started on my health insurance costs that just went up costing me (at least) and additional $1,500 per year, out of pocket. We get no raises, no cost of living increases, nothing. Cost of natural gas here is also about to skyrocket so higher bills there too.

ok...so over 1000 solders dead.

Well, in Chicago alone last year there were over 600 murders...so those #'s seem pretty good to me.

Your lucky our natural gas went up about 4 years about here, up about 400%

um, Health care isnt something kerry has going for him man. You ever look at his play? it involves spending ass lodes of $ and it does something for this black lady over here that has 13 kids lives on this certan street and is a drug adict, oh and this old man that fought in the civil war.

Greg

I agree, this thread should be in the political BS forum, one that I've never visited either btw as I usually stay away from these BUT:

1000+ (of OUR soldiers only, NOT including all the other soldiers on our side, innocent cilvilians, etc) ....just to TRY to kill ONE man somehow "OK"? I don't think so. By now, I think we can all agree that there are no WMD there, never were thus no real threat to us here.

Why am I somehow "lucky" that my combined gas and electric budget bill is close to $300 per month? Up $110 per month from last year. PLEASE????

NO one here really knows how Kerry would or could change anything NOW but we've definately seen the last 4 years unfold. Things can be better.

Do realize that once a second term Pres. gets in, he's got no reason to even TRY to be popular anymore as it just won't matter to him.

Double LOL back at you ;)

Breach of what? Do you hear or read different news than the rest of us? Where are the WMD and thus the threat, cause for what we did over there? Nothing's been found to date.

Just read an interesting political science article. The polls are meaningless this year for several major reasons:

- This is the first presidential election where a large potential voting group (18 - 25) doesn't have a hardwire phone (many only own a cell phone, and pollsters can't call cells)

- Popular vote is meaningless this year - it's all about electoral votes.

- Florida is a total mystery to the polsters because of the hurricanes. Polsters aren't even trying to poll in Florida right now, and Florida has a lot of electroral votes.

Nice response xsiled. Makes me proud to be an American.

Unfortunately Darkheart, the level of discourse you will find here is typified by the thoughtful responses you got to your post.

Bush will win, particularly since Kerry is running a truly awful campaign. As for this forum, the prevailing view is pro-Bush and nobody else bothers to post.

Credit Bush's handlers, they are doing a great job.
