‘Get your ass out’: Dems tell Nader to quit...

Post by sbp »

...while they move to knock Nader off Arizona ballot. Screw these arrogant b@stards.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/s ... 33,00.html

Ralph Nader had a testy meeting Tuesday with black members of Congress and rejected their request that he quit the presidential race. At the same time, Arizona Democrats prepared to challenge Nader's qualifications to appear on that state's ballot as an independent candidate.

The developments reflect Democrats' increasing frustration with Nader and his potential to woo liberal votes away from John Kerry, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

Shouts could be heard from inside the meeting in the basement of the U.S. Capitol with more than a dozen Congressional Black Caucus members, including Nader's voice, in what proved to be a rancorous session. One female shouted, ``You can't win,'' to which Nader shot back an inaudible response.

God forbid voters have more choices. Image

Demorats better get used to the fact that Nader is a legitimate candidate.

Republicans and Democrats don't like independents. Look what happened to Ross Perot 10 years ago by the Republicans. Here in California, we had an excellent re-call to the governor, where we had over 100 choices for this position. That is what I like to see (shame the porn star was not elected) ;)

Demorats?

As if you would be all for more voter choice if somebody threatened to steal precious votes from Bush...

Steal precious votes? Pretty big assumption that Kerry already has those votes isn't it? So are you saying we should only allow the two parties and no others?

Hehe...

I would have like to see John McCain run as an independent, and it was interesting that John Kerry asked him to be his VP. I guess he's trying to grab all those undecided voters or swing voters.

It's going to be a close one, and I'm still undecided who to vote for, and more than likely, it will probably be Bush as I find Kerry to be a complete defuses.

We should have more choices for presidential election day. The reason we only have two is money, pure and simple. Being affiliated with a political party, supports your campaign financialy. If we had some reform in that area, (real reform) then we would see the arena open up a lot.

Yes, some misguided demorats or liberals are going to vote for Kerry. In fact, as W.'s approval rating continues to slide, it may be that some people are indeed not going to vote for W.

So, I do think some people will actually vote for Kerry.

We could have 8 or 10 parties for all I care. However, we don't. We have two. I don't pretend to have lofty philosophical views here. With only two parties and nobody on the right like Perot, the practical impact of Nader's run to satisfy his ego will not be attainment of his agenda or his constituentcy's agenda, but to make it harder for Kerry to win.

Given sbp's passionate dislike of all things demorat or liberal, I venture that he would not be disgusted if the tables were turned and Rush Limbaugh declared himself as a candidate.

Funny, where were they at the last election?!?! They are ONLY pissed because it WILL pull vote's from Kerry. But honestly, who in there right mind would vote for Kerry? I don't see him standing for anything but raising taxes. (which he promised to do but didn't say how) and to increase job's (which Bush is doing, but I still don't hear HOW Kerry will do it?)

So, I do think some people will actually vote for Kerry.

I agree, there slogan isn't "VOTE FOR KERRY" it's "ANYONE BUT BUSH"!! What does that say about Kerry? (well to me it says "this is what we are stuck with")
