We have always had torture, but with the advent of the internet and other TV news shows, it's more visible now then 20 years ago to the general public. Some of the torture methods might be having these guys listen to rap music all day or something along those lines. I really doubt we would use the old electrodes hooked up to their balls, unless of course it's Osama himself.

I personally think that is a rather naive view point. I believe we have always had some level of torture going on it has just been covert. I dont believe it has ever been rampant and used on all prisoners or anything like that but I do believe it as and will always be used to some degree.

These are the types of guys that cut the heads off three civillians...... As far as I am concerned we do whatever it takes to make them talk.

As far as stooping to their level, I see it like this. If we are going to be responsible for cleaning up all the garbage in the world, we are going to get dirty. It comes with the territory.

Sadly though, we know this will never happen in todays pc world. Makes too much sense. It would work to stop much of their 'terror', but the bleeding hearts would have a field day. Too much net, too much media, too much of what wasn't around in force during WWI or II and all previous wars. Everything is nit-picked a part.

Hell, even our own media trumps up the so called abu garib 'scandal over and over, yet talks very little about what the terrorists do. Or even how our guys may feel and go through, in dealing with those prisoners.

But again, same bs applies. As long as our hands are tied like this, we can't win.


Just like somalia, 'black hawk down'. We beat them badly. We killed something like 1,000 and in some estimates, up to 10,000. But we lose 18, and the black hawks, it gets shown on tv of them torturing/dragging our guys, mission called off. Our guys wanted to finish the job but were not allowed too. Because of the reactions to what was shown on tv and the resulting 'political' pressure'.

Current terrorists learned a lot from somalia. Guess we didn't.
