Well obviously the terrorists are the ones responsible, but its far easier to lay the blame on those closer to home (ie the government) than one those actually responsible. IMHO, as always :)

LMAO so we should blame whoever is easiest rather than who is responsible? Doesn't that sound more than just a little ludicrous to you?

OK, I apologize for using the words I used.

Nonetheless, I think XSiled's comment is openly racist...

As for Mr. Berg, I don't know what the story is, but I would cut the guy some slack.

Outliving any of your children is bad enough and this guy's kid's death was ghastly, inhuman, and completely public for all the world to see.

I dont know what to think about Berg's father myself. I would think he would be grieving deeply and I can only assume how that video going public like it did would effect him. However that being said I find it very disturbing that only a few days after the video he is filing a lawsuit against Rumsfeld and speaking out against the our Govt the way he is This quote from him in the article that Xsiled posted really bugged me
"I am sure that he only saw the good in his captors until the last second of his life," Berg said. "They did not know what they were doing. They killed their best friend."

WTF Nick Berg was a best friend to these Terrorists? I am not making my mind up on all of this until things become more clear and it seems there are all kinds of things flying around in the news about terrorist connections and who knows what else. No matter what that beheading was barbaric and those responsible (the terrorists damn it) should be made to pay.

I think he was speaking figuratively with regards to the "best friend" part in that according to him, his son was there to help with the reconstruction of Iraq's infrastructure. I don't think guys like Zarqawi have "friends".

As from what I've read about the lawsuit, there were some questions as to why Berg was detained and by whom ( US or Iraqi authorities). I do know that he was released the day after the lawsuit was filed. So yes, I'm a bit curious to see how this plays out as well.

It seems a bit weird to me that a American / Jewish guy is running around in Iraq looking for a job. Could it be they thought he was a spy for America or Israel? And please don't interpret that QUESTION as any endorsement for what those scumbags did. I get misunderstood around here enough as it is.

any american in iraq is fair game to asshats like this.

i say we simply adopt israel's policy of dealing with things related to terrorism. find a head, kill it. new head gets named, kill it. kill anything and everything that you can find a clear and wrongful relation to that which you seek to destroy.

Something the media should be reporting more of....

There needs to be more Iraqs steping forth and taking control of their country, and not playing the old cop game of "brotherhood of silence."

There are still people who are against this war; but they have no reasons now.
This one's not the same as the ones that aren't different:
