Annoying delay posting calendar events in Android

I'm not crazy about the look of the new Lollipop calendar, but I can live with it EXCEPT the annoying slow refresh.

Anyone else having this problem? Ever since I upgraded my phone to Lollipop when I post something to the calendar it doesn't appear immediately. It apparently is sent to the Google cloud first and then the phone needs to refresh.

If I manually refresh after posting or editing an event, it shows up, but otherwise it may take a good 30 seconds or more.

Extremely annoying.

There is no way to get the old calendar back without flashing the phone back to KitKat.

For this reason I will keep my wife's phone on KitKat. She'll just hate Lollipop. I just need to find a way to disable the Lollipop update nag. I found a post that says to disable the Motorola Update Service.

I did a little research and a lot of people hate the new calendar. One of the suggestions was to get the free version of Business Calendar:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... zcal&hl=en

It has great reviews, and it syncs to your Google calendar. I like the look and functionality from the demo video. Going to try it.

Ok, I like Business Calendar. When I enter or edit an event, it's updated immediately. Free version has ads at the bottom. I'll try it for a few weeks and if I decide I'm sticking with it I'll buy the Pro version.

There's also a Business Calendar 2 but it just came out and looks like the new Lollipop calendar so I'll pass.

Marshmallow does not send to the cloud first. Dunno what device you have though.

I'm on Marshmallow. No delays that I've seen. Pure Android FTW. ;)

Moto-x only just got lollipop. I doubt it'll ever get marshmallow.
