Hi all!

I am interested in getting a tablet and really like the Moto Xoom. But I do not want a tablet that must have a contract. I just want to use it via my wi-fi here and other public wi-fi areas. Any ideas? What's the best one out there around $200.

Google them, try $600. They're too new to find anything used cheaply. They cheapest iPads are $500.

I didn't want an iPad. Just any tab running the Android OS. Doesn't even have to be a top brand.

But I see what you're getting at. They are high. Thanks EH!

Just saw a commercial, HP touchpad $400 but it's new so who knows how good it is?

Otherwise, first gen iPads will now be less $

The Viewsonic tablets are good. A friend has one at work.

I think this was the one he bought: $270 at tigerdirect

He put Honeycomb on his and loves it.

the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime looks like it'll be a nice device...dockable...quad-core...but will be $500-$600. sigh.

the latest version of the Toshiba Thrive seems nice too...replaceable battery, full USB port that you can plug in a hard drive...hdmi...

I like the Sprint EVO View 4G.... You can go to sprint and purchase the tablet without a contract or service for the regular price. I think it is $645.

I like that one and thinking about that myself

I have the the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. I love it. Micro SD Card slot, HDMI out, a headphone jack & a keyboard-dock. Its an awesome alternative to the EYE-Pad.
