Where is the best place to buy laptop LCD's from? I have searched google but just curious if anyone knows some other place.
Used or new is fine.. It's for an Acer Aspire 4520.
Thanks!

Is the LCD broken, or is it just an inverter board?

Ditto MegaVectra.
Though, sometimes if you want on the real cheap & have time to wait, I get the part numbers & models that are compatible & wait for someone to post one for $.99

So the screen came as expected but there is a line about a quarter of the way down, all the way across. Let's hope this guy is easy to deal with too!
Is there anything else that could cause a line? Is it just a bad LCD or something with the laptop?

It's the LCD, nothing else that would cause that.

I restarted the computer after updates and it's gone. That's really strange.

haha that is Strange.. Could have just been a connector that might have been seated funny, but usually it's something in the LCD. I only say that because I have a few junk lappys at the office and one of them has a line like that, I can swap it between the 3 or 4 of them and it follows it lol

My LCD's do that on rare occasion (freaks me out every time). Generally a restart fixes it. Guess it could be a driver board issue or possibly a connection.
