broken screen

Post by swinada »

sniff....opened my Sony Clie NR70 the other day to enter some data.....and I relized that my screen has now a nice spiderweb on it. :mad
Does anybody know where i could get a replacement screen, or what other models would have the same size and be interchangable?
I will call Sony Canada tomorow and see what they charge to replace it, but just wondering if they could be had aftermarket.
I allready looked around e-bay, but didnt find anything.

well... you know Sony... greedy pigs...
probably not gonna be any after market stuff around...
might wanna look for a broken one though, one that has a good working screen but broken elsewhere

or just hop on Goole and see what you can find in Clie parts

well Sony Service isnt that great. Called Sony Canada today, they gave me an address to send the Clie to, but they are not able to give me a quote on how much it will be, nor will they supply a phone number for the service centre. Basicly, send the Clie in and pray that you will see it again fixed and not to expensive.

280$ for parts + 70$ for labour + Tax + shipping this is the quote i got from Sony. I guess for that money i can buy a new one.
If you need a new experience in voice mail Hell call up Sony @ 1-877-899-7669
you actualy have to talk to the machine, and she is even friendly when your rating for the call is a 1 out of 4, 4 for very satisfied and 1 for unsatisfied. :)
