Wow. There was so much push back on the 4080 12GB, whose actual hardware specs are closer to a 4070, that NVidia cancelled the release.
Maybe EVGA did pick a good time to get out of making NVidia cards. I can't imagine what a mess this is going to be for the 3rd party manufactures, who likely already have these cards in a warehouse, and now have to pull them. Even if NVidia reimburses them, it's a hell of thing. These cards will have to be repackaged, and likely reflashed, to make them into whatever model NVidia plans to call them.

I'm happy with my 3080 12G so I'll be skipping this generation anyway. However, it seems like a mess of a launch.
