Linus gets to game on an RTX 3090 at 8K:

Post by Nuby1Canuby »

First in the world RTX 3090 8K gaming:

It was nice of NVIDIA to let him play with a $30,000 eighty eight inch OLED 8K gaming display and an RTX 3090.
He played Doom Eternal on Nightmare settings at 7680x4320.
At that resolution you don't need anti aliasing and since you have Gsync on the 60 MHz display, it's possible to play most games with high quality graphics.
I guess there is a use case scenario for having 24 Gigs of memory on a video card.

Nice!
Christians warn us about the anti-christ for 2,000 years, and when he shows up, they buy a bible from him.

Wow what a nice TV. We have a OLED 55" 4K, and AT&T has one free 4k channel that they run. You can tell the difference as soon as I turn on that channel. Bummer that I have some burned in images that I can't get rid of, but I will probably never get another OLED due to costs and potential image burn with OLED.

That RTX 3090 looks like it weighs 5 lbs. What a monster card.

I picked up a new LG 65" OLED last month. When you play real 4K content, especially in HDR, it starts looking to CGI-ish. Looks amazing but seems a bit to unreal.

LMFAO!!!
I don't have it yet. Just placed a deposit. Shit, they won't be building my car until sometime around Summer 2021. Crazy demand and 2 plant shutdowns didn't help.
