I finally got it downloaded and installed. It looks great but my scores dropped a lot. In 3DMark 2000 I was getting 6000 in 3DMark 2001 I only got 2300 nothing in my system has changed. Anybody have any idea why?

Is it really a good bench mark test ? I am very proud of my rebuilt modified HP comp. The only OEM parts left are the floppy drive and the tower. I installed and ran 3Dmark 2001. What a friggin' score ! 547
Anyone else get low scores ? All drivers are current and DX8 installed. WHere do I look to tweak this thing up?

System specs:
Athlon 700 @ 950 (1.8volts) (with a Leufkin GFD)
Gigabyte GA-7IX motherboard
Antec 300 watt power supply
GlobalWin VOS32 heatsink and fans
256megs ram (2 @ 128megPC133 @100)
Voodoo5 5500 AGP
SB_Live X-gamers
Realtek 8139A PCI ethernet card
20gig ATA66 7200rpm WD hard drive (UDMA enabled)
13gig ATA66 5400rpm WD hard drive (UDMA enabled)
(Both hard drives are partitioned in half and are running at ATA66 with the onboard ATA66)
Acer 50x cd-rom IDE

External hardware:
HP 712C printer (parallel port)
HP 5370C USB Scanner
ViewSonic A90 19" monitor
Cambridge Soundworks FPS1000 speaker setup

It looks like the numbers are just different from the 2000 version. Everybody scores are lower than they were in 2000 check out the thread in General Hardware

Aside for the new graphic stuff, it benchmark many new 3D features that are not in 3dmark 2000 verison such as, T&L, bumpmapping, FSAA, etc.

I didn't think it was "all that". And I heard it's still a little pro nvidia?

the Demo is Way cool the benchmark I found Ugly and drab not like 3dmark2k which I thought was neet. Im not in the top 10 anymore and I dont eve nwant to Try anymore. I was there once and that was Good enough for me. was Also there with my GeForce DDR the day I got it. :)

I thought the demo was cinda short... a bit dissapointed? The benchmark i don't care about. Tried GLExess, and that one was pretty cool i think... quite long too :)

I kinda like Mark 2001!

I got a result straight outta the box kinda thing. Wouldn't run with my old ATI drivers so I went and got the new Radeon drivers and it was kinda beautifull.

Mad Onion have made this benchmark real hard so it is still useable in the next 12 months, cos graphics cards are moving on real fast.

My Athlon 550@650 on a SD11 mobo at AGP2x with 384mb of PC133 (although running at 100 as my mobo is quite old) is fine fine fine

My Radeon 64mbDDR OEM (165/165) returned a solid 2415.

Neat huh?
A little crazy, but safe enough
