Nvidia GTX 980 and 970
Finally there is a higher end video card in the $300 price range.
The GTX 970 is a bit faster then the GTX 780 and R9 290 for an MSRP of $329.
The GTX 980 is a bit faster then the GTX 780 TI for an MSRP of $549.

Dual 5770s in X-Fire and no issues getting 60+ FPS in WoW on Ultra settings.. And I rarely play anymore, so I've not seen the need for upgrades.. Besides, I'm saving to buy a motorcycle at the end of winter..

Techpowerup has reviews of the GTX 970 at maximum settings in several games and different resolutions: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA ... ler/1.html
It's handy to look up your specific resolution to see if you should be dialing your graphics settings back to maintain a smooth playable experience.

The 970 looks like an absolute steal for the performance. I don't regret buying my EVGA 780 SC but I would've liked paying 970 prices for it.Nuby1Canuby wrote:Techpowerup has reviews of the GTX 970 at maximum settings in several games and different resolutions: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA ... ler/1.html
