I saw this over at 3DGPU concerning the 7.27 drivers with HSR.
>If you weren't around, NVItalia.it made a post that these drivers will contain HSR (Hidden Surface Removal) and Zoiah over at http://zoiah.m3dzone.com/ has confirmed the rumor. Well Numerator, who's an employee for NVIDIA has debunked the rumors with a post in our forums. Here's what he had to say:
"The 7.27 drivers are a myth, I don't know how this got started. The bottom line is that we are still working on stability, bugs and features for our drivers. We have no plans to implement HSR (ala 3dfx). And yes, they really do get leaked, we do not do this intentionally."
So it looks like the HSR rumor turns out to be just that ... a false rumor.>
If you really think about it, why would Nvidia give owners of older GeForce cards a 20 to 30% increase in speed when they are getting ready to introduce their next generation card in a few months.
