next summer? The GF4 will be severly dated by next summer. The R300 will date the GF4 and it's due out in the enxt month or so. The GF5 is supposed to be out by Chirstmas and i'm sure the GF6 by next summer.

ATI's impressive next generation part, the Radeon 9700, comes out during mid-September with a $399 MSRP.Also within the next year what is coming out in the way of Video Cards? Cause Im a senior and this computer will be bought sometime next summer?

During November ATI unleashes its mainstream Radeon 9500 part. This will a Radeon 9700 lite edition with half the memory channel and pipes.
Nvidia is going to announce AGP8X versions of its GF4 Ti line and GF4 MX line during Sept/Oct. The GF4 Ti refresh, the NV28, may be clocked higher than the GeForce 4 Ti4600.
Nvidia's next generation part, the NV-30, hasn't done its final tape out yet. Basically the move to .13 micron has been taking longer than expected. There's the possibility that it may hit shelves in time for the holiday season. Personally I expect a paper launch with cards showing up en masse next year. This card won't be called the GeForce 5.
