Hey peoples-

well i got my video card and i want to hook it up to my tv via tv-out (s-video) and my tv dosnt have an s-video input on it so i got an rf-modulator and i have it all hooked up but im getting no picture........ I have the driver installed from the disk that the manufacurer gave me and im runnin winderz 98se.. any info helps

Fair warning: If you don't have S-Video in on your TV, it won't look very good.

Geforce cards do not send a signal out the video out until you enable it from the Display properties.

Go to Display properties->Settings->Advanced. Look for a "Device Selection Tab" (assuming you're using NVidia reference drivers, which you should).

TV out will only support 640x480 or 800x600. Also, enabling TV out will disable the coimputer monitor.

An EXCELLENT shareware app that I can recommend is TVTool 2000: http://tvtool.info/index_e.htm

It gives you much more control over TV out, the ability to display an image on the TV and the monitor at the same time, and a single keyboard shortcut or taskbar icon to toggle TV out on and off. Well worth the $11 they want for it.

ive tried that, it wont let me select the tv button, its shaded out like its not detected.

It will be shaded out until the card detects a TV connected to it. That's the way my Geforce2 and 3 worked. The card needs to sense a device connected to the output.

How exactly are you connecting it. You mentioned an RF modulator which sound doubtful. Why would you use that unless you have a VERY old TV with no video input jacks? An RF modulated signal will also look terrible compared to composite video or S-video.

I understand that you don't have s-video on the TV but you should have a video in. If your card didn't come with an S-video to composite video adapter, you can buy one at Radio Shack.
