or the ULTRA. I've heard of Quadro's with 128mb on them
those would be a little pricey, but I'm sure they'de be a NICE card for anything you could imagine

so if i were to go out in a couple weeks for a card then i guess the GeForce 2 Ultra is the choice.
should i dare ask how much i would be looking at for one?

$400+ range
Geforce 2 GTS (non ultra) is next best thing and a lot more reasonably priced. Some of the cheaper ones are closer to $200.

You can get a GeForce 2 Pro (64 MB RAM) equipped with a Blue Orb cooler and RAM heatsinks for $339.95 plus shipping. I've read that you can overclock these things to near GeForce Ultra speeds.
