TV out? What now?

I just bought a new laptop with tv out, and whatta know, I haven't a clue how to make it work? I have connected an rca cable from the out on the laptop to the in on the tv.......

did you set the TV to video1/video2/AUX/DVD , whatever?

You usual have to go into Display Setting and enable TV out. It's usually in it's own tab in Advanced Display Settings (might be called the "Display" tab.
You resolution usually gets bumped down to 640x480 or 800x600 when TV out is enabled unless you have a VERY expensive VIVO lappy.
