I have 2 cards.. both 12 Mb one is an actual 3dfx Voodoo 2, the other is... well something else.
Its installed but not connected so can't see name unles I have too.
Anyhow.. can the 2 different cards be run in SLI? I have done a small search for some info but most
that I have found all require a "hacked" dll file or 3 that all use DX6. A little old in my opinion.
Will these work with DX8.1, or is there another way?
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Rest of the system is as follows...
Intel 2.0 Ghz CPU
Geforce2 400 64Mb
1 Gig RDram
Thanks again.

Yes you need a hacked driver: http://members.tripod.com/~devnull_/
Snow ball's chance in hell you'll ever find ANY driver for the V2 that supports Dx7 or Dx8.
It's time to think new vid card. A Geforce MX2 is under $50.

Eck sorry - IO didn't look. ASSumed it was your main 3D card. Didn't think anyone was still using V2s even for old Glide games.
I still have a couple in my junk box...

I have too many older games that I have not yet played that utilize glide. Since I run XP home, I may not be able to play some but, those that I can play I still like to have the glide option. I think you can get voodoo 2 files for DX7. Seems that I have read that several places. I got my file from:
http://www.voodoofiles.com
and checked the link to 3rd party 3dfx drivers. The one I use had a date of 10/6/2001 on it and was for Voodoo Banshee, 2,3,4,5 for Windows XP. I installed the "other files" since there was not a specific one for Voodoo 2 after you unzip the package. You might also try the early January, 2002 file for XP/2000. I installed that first and then the 10/6/2001 over it so I guess I got a combo file. As long as I disable the rundll 3dfx.... in the startup, I don't get a start up error. I have been playing Heretic 2 using glide at 1024x768 and it looks and works fine. My main card is GF3 ti 200. Hope this helps.
