European Court Lets Users Erase Records on Web

A great example of noob judges who don't understand how the Internet works trying to regulate the Internet. As an engineer it makes me cringe. These idiots think that blocking specific search results will "delete" online records. Morons. It's all still out there, accessible to anyone who knows what he's doing.

So now you can "block" searches of you embarrassing past, but any attorney or employer with a Lexus Nexis account can still find out anything about you.

Meanwhile what's to stop a merchant with a bad reviews from blocking those reviews in search engines.

I consider this more of a threat to a free and open Internet than Net Neutrality issues...

This will spread to the US too. We have a bunch of leaders who are ignorant in technology. Wasn't a law enacted recently to remove "Revenge Porn" pictures from the internet?
