I was on the line with tech support for a tax app today and they used this to remote into the PC I was working on.

It's being marketed as collaboration presentation software, but it also works as a simple way to setup remote access.

A little laggier than regular Logmein, and and no frills, but it's easier to get a noob on the other end of the phone to install it than it is Logmein or Teamviewer. It's all browser based. The host just goes to the website and clicks on the Share button and give the other person the pin number. The other person can then click an icon on his end to request control of the other PC.

I still prefer Teamviewer, but I might try it with some of my less techie clients.

So what do you install to make this work?

Nothing to install. It's all browser based. It's worthless if you want to remote into the PC anytime because someone needs to be there to browse the website and then give you permission to access their desktop.

Teamviewer or Logmein Free is still better if you want to install something permanently to setup a password so you can remote in anytime.

The one thing this is good for is for people who are so non-technical that they find even Teamviewer hard to install.

i just used it with a (very) non-techie friend and they had no problems at all...click an icon, txt me the code, connected. request control. done in a minute and my night can continue. :)

And there's plenty like that in my experience.
