Try bypassing your router and rebooting the modem and computer. If this doesn't work you'll have to call them and keep calling them until they fix it. I went through this with Time Warner. It's very annoying and hopefully you'll get this fixed soon.

Comcast is okay, but if you have wiring issues in the house that could be your problem.

You should have the modem on a "home run" which means it's on it's own cable straight to the splitter outside. You do not want the modem sharing a cable with a TV. The modem is VERY fussy about signal strength.

i need to have them come out there all kinds of things going on. the one TV set i have will only get one channel (its on one of there small box's )
my signal is really weak and I'm on a home run to my INTERNET modem . but its crazy I'm also dropping call on the phone system and not able to send a second signal when a call asks to punch 2 for English as a ex-sample ..and i had tryed swapping to a second phone !

This sounds like a bad splitter to me. If you have a spare laying about I would try that route if possible. My cable is set up with two. The first splits the cable between the cable modem and the TV's and the second splits the TV's. If you have some CRC, you could also try just cleaning the connections at the splitter.

I don't remember if the cable company is responsible for the splitter or not. You should call them and have them look at your modem. You're going to have to do this anyway so the tech can justify sendind them out.

Like I said before, I feel for you. I've went through this with Time Warner. It turned out to be the box on the pole.

Good luck guy.

Yup. Weak signal due to a bad splitter or corrosion on one of the connectors. Maybe even a loose connector.

A good cable tech will just replace the splitter to play safe, and replace any connectors that look questionable.

You could also do it yourself (unscrew each connector at the splitter, give it a shot of WD40, and screw it back in tight (snug it lightly with a crescent wrench so it doesn't work loose by itself).

Comcast IS usually responsible for any splitters outside the house, and it's best to let them replace it because the ones you buy in the store are NOT commercial grade.
