New DSL line in the boonies

I finally got net at my new place - verizon/dsl. I tried to just transfer my comcast tv and net but they they didn't seem to care. A couple of calls, no record of request, no callbacks after nearly a month. They have cable to about 500 yds of my house and obviously don't want to string any more.
I went with a verizon/direct tv package instead. The clear sky HD is actually better than cable HD, but it is subject to a little fade at times.
DSL ok so far. Comcast was peak use throttling on my old connection so this
should be faster overall
