I havent tinkered with VPN too much so some advice would be helpful. I have a main office site with a Netgear FVL328 and it has a static IP. I have several remote sites that have FVS318's and they are all dynamic IP's. Can I setup a stable VPN?

You're going to want a static IP at each site. That's the point of VPN. On each router you will be specifying which outside IPs are trusted. Those IPs will be treated as if they were on your LAN.

You can do it with a Dynamic DNS service but that's complicated and a security risk. Best off to have a static IP at each site.

You could have all the other locations connect to the one static IP with a UN and PW cant you? wouldent that work? I too dont know much about VPN.

Frankly I'm no expert. I've only setup a couple, and the routers were pre-configured by corporate. This was for two UPS Stores.

All VPN setups I've maintained had static IPs at all locations.

Yes, you can do this. That's the way most coporate VPNs work nowadays. Telecommuters connect to a VPN server, authenticate, than the server treats those connections as if they were local. Usually you can configure the server to assign the clients a range of IP addresses, ala DHCP.

A Vpn tunnel is easily setup with statics, are you going to be using citrix? Metaframe XP is pretty nice
