Dell has a killer deal on switches. I wish I would've waited and brought mine when they came out. Like 200-300 bucks for a 16 port giga.

ill sell you my 3com 12 port giga with optic in dual mode square
for err maybe 1200 bux
thats bottom of the barrel
anything less than that wont do gig i guarentee it
remember even if you have GIG nics unless you have PciX you cant even utilize 100 megabit
pc's have no chance in hell of doing actuall gigabit for maybe another year
remember remember gig ethernet is 120 megabytes per second, i doubt your harddrive can do that
better yet your buss

True, so why worry about getting bottom of barrel that will do true gigabit? My Cygnet cost me 200 bucks, it's 8 port managed, and it breaks 40Mps easy.
If I wanted to break the bank, I would go an spend some serious bucks on Gig-lan equipment, but why when I get my downloads cut into half or less already for very little money on the dollar. I got a friend who does a lan with those Dell Gig switches and he server 45-60 outta them all the time. That is ideal transfer though, from 1 drive, 1 transfer. You start doing more then that and windows very kindly puts your Mps in the toliet.

Is there a wireless (802.11g or b) and gigabit switch router combo? Or are there only 10/100 Mbps switches with wireless routers?

You would be better served by two pieces of equipment in the long run even if there was a unit available with them together.
