Wireless Internet, any good for games?

Post by knightofnee1112 »

I hear this company "Digital Path" (http://www.digitalpath.com) is releasing wireless internet service soon (next month) in my area. I have hear some things about wireless being not good for games because of lag spikes and it always going down because of interfearence. Is all of this true?

I have a wireless internet device. It's ok, depending on the bandwidth. I wouldn't recommend it for gaming, as it "bursts" the data instead of "streaming" it.

well, I plan on their 2.5/2.5 connection so I should at least be able to stream 6KB/sec, right? or will it just spike like crazy all the time, no matter what?
