it is really easy.

What kind of server?

I have a web server / DC server

http://dopey5007.dynu.com that is run through my cable.

for that I just need to forward port 80 for the web and 411-412 for DC to the IP of the PC

Forwarding ports will be done via a table in your router, you just gotta tell it to open certain ports for certain Internal lan IP's- its really alot easyier then it used to be. Check threw your web based interface for the unit

i use windows IIS for my webserver and I re-route the ports for that through 90 (isp blocks 80)

hosting all my pics and crap on it now

Then I am running a seperate port to another system so a select few can download anime off me :)

basically...if you use a program like IIS, you just have to set up your directories and tell them what IP the machine is at and what port forwards to the starting directory. Then you have to tell your router to forward any hits at your IP: Port to the internal ip: port of the server
