when i check my security on ShieldsUp i get this message
21
FTP
OPEN! FTP servers have many known security vulnerabilities and the payoff from exploiting an insecure FTP server can be significant. This system's open FTP port is inviting intruders to examine your system more closely.

how can i close the port 21? I am using zonealarm for firewall.

ZA opens only ports when they're required for an application ... so something must run on port 21 ...

Open your ZA permissions list and see what's been allowed to use port 21.

I couldnt find a permission list.
I upgraded to Zonealarm PRO and this solved the problem. I guess that is one way of getting people to buy the pro version.
