Changed my Comcast cable modem from a RCA DCM425($7/mo rental) to a Cisco Advanced Docsis 3.0 compliant DPC3008-CC for $40 Clearance on Slickdeals for a savings and upgraded to their 20Mbs-Down/4 Mbs-Up for the price of the modem rental. Since my employer pays for my Internet, its no skin off my back. I'll check my speeds in a few days and provide feedback here.

Just checked my speed since getting the upgrade:

Image

WUGNET: Down: 9.85Mbps / Up: 5.29Mbps

AuditMyPC: Down: 4435kbps / Up: 7830Mbps

Inconsistent across the board, who knows which is right. :d oom

I'll check again late tonight.

it almost looks like you have been upgraded, but the provisioning hasn't kicked in yet, so you're uncapped. when i first got my cable in, it was uncapped for a few weeks. i didn't complain... lol
